About
The Playwrights' Co-operative is a not for profit organisation formed to further the aims of new and established playwrights including the opportunity of publication (subject to assessment) through its publishing arm New Theatre Publications (NTP).
In order to assist with costs, we charge a small annual membership (currently £16 a year), which entitles members to submit plays for assessment, to frequent newsletters offering all kinds of advice and writing opportunities, a free website profile page and a blanket 15% discount on any and all NTP play scripts.
A small one-off assessment fee is charged for each submission, but we are FIRMLY NOT a "vanity publisher".
NTP offers theatre companies the opportunity to download any scripts in their entirety (strictly for evaluation purposes only) free of any charge or obligation. performance fees are low.

Mike in Malaga commented on the group The Playwrights' Co-operative's wall:I have written a number of plays and would like to think they could be performed. I have sent copies to agents and theatre groups but rarely get a reply. Any ideas or tips on how to get from the page to the stage?
