Tudor Musical Comedy Society, based in Sutton Coldfied, are performing 'The King and I' in September 2011 at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall. We have now cast the principle roles however we are still on the look our for talented singers, dancers and actors to join our chorus. A rousing start to the society's 50th Birthday celebrations. With outstanding solos and vibrant chorus numbers this society can be proud of their performance. From the start of the show when we went back to the 60's to the finale, this company had the audience singing along all the way. I particularly enjoyed the first item of the second half 'Fifty Years of Tudor' in which the company sang small snippets of every show they have staged over this period. Particular mention must go to Daniel Veal for his wonderful rendition of 'House of the Rising Sun' and to Charlotte Gaunt, she is a young lady who will go far. Congratulations to Pam and James Garrington on a wonderful production. If this was anything to go by, the company will have a wonderful 50th Birthday year. Paul Douglas NODA
