ttc press officer Teddington Theatre Club’s next production in the main auditorium of the Hampton Hill Playhouse will be John Whiting’s A PENNY FOR A SONG Napoleon faces a citizen army in this riotous yet tender comedy Directed by John Roth. England beware, invasion is imminent! It is 1804 and Napoleon Bonaparte is poised to add our Island to his European Empire. But, fear not, Sir Timothy Bellboys has a cunning plan to thwart the French Emperor with the help of fearless volunteers, all ready and willing (although perhaps not necessarily able). This superlative play, dating from 1951, is a classic English comedy – farcical, ludicrous and jingoistic, but also warm and charming with thought-provoking ideas on love and war. Come and enjoy a fine summer’s evening with us, and don’t forget your Union flag! Playing dates: July 3rd - July 9th. Tickets: £10/£12.00 Performance times: Sunday 6pm Weekdays:7.45pm Box office: 0845 838 7529 (10am - 8pm) Online: www.ttc-boxoffice.org.uk Hampton Hill Playhouse,90 High Street, Hampton, TW12 1NY
